Responsibilities
- Developed and maintained mineral.tech, a mineral management platform used by hundreds of companies across the United States to manage mineral assets, GIS maps, reporting, documents, and related workflows.
- Migrated 50+ legacy AngularJS features, modules, and pages to React, reducing bundle size and delivering substantial improvements in frontend performance and Lighthouse scores while improving maintainability and future development efficiency.
- Resolved a Leaflet memory leak affecting maps with 100K+ markers, reducing memory usage from 2GB to 900MB and significantly improving map responsiveness.
- Optimized Django APIs and database queries by replacing expensive Django ORM operations with optimized raw SQL, adding targeted indexes, and reducing database roundtrips, cutting response times from several seconds to around 400ms.
- Developed and maintained automated unit and E2E tests using Cypress, covering core application logic and critical workflows to improve test coverage, reliability, and regression detection.
- Added and stabilized Cypress E2E tests to catch regressions across critical workflows and React migrations.
- Contributed to CodeTest, improving workflows and UI consistency to make the platform simpler and smoother to use.
